Lifetime Limited Warranty
At Alex Windows and Doors, we stand behind the quality of our products with our comprehensive Lifetime Limited Warranty, designed to give our customers peace of mind for years to come.
Warranty Coverage
Window Frames and Sashes
We warrant our solid PVC white window frames and sashes against defects such as blistering, peeling, flaking, cracking, fading, and warping for the lifetime of the product under normal residential use.
- Painted and coated finishes are covered for 15 years against peeling, cracking, and excessive fading. After 15 years, materials remain covered, but labor and service charges apply.
Hardware
All window hardware, including locks, handles, and mechanical components, is covered under a Lifetime Limited Warranty.
- For the first 10 years, both parts and labor are fully covered for repairs or replacements due to manufacturing defects.
- After 10 years, parts remain covered; labor and service charges apply at current rates.
Insulated Glass Units (IGUs)
Our insulated glass units are warranted against seal failure and manufacturing defects:
- 10-year warranty against seal failure (moisture or dirt between panes).
- After 10 years, replacement glass remains covered; installation and service fees apply.
- Cracked or broken glass caused by manufacturing defects or thermal stress is covered for 1 year from delivery.
Warranty Exclusions and Limitations
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage due to improper installation, misuse, abuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications.
- Damage resulting from extreme weather, acts of God, chemical exposure, pollutants, or corrosive environments.
- Normal wear and tear, minor scratches, fading, or corrosion from aging or prolonged exposure.
- Condensation on interior or exterior glass surfaces.
- Structural damage caused by building settlement or movement.
- Cosmetic imperfections not affecting product function or structural integrity.
- Glass breakage or screen damage (unless caused by manufacturing defect within the covered period).
Labor and service charges apply after the first 10 years. Customers will be informed of applicable charges prior to any work being performed.
Failure to report visible defects prior to installation may void coverage for those specific defects.
Limits of Liability
Alex Windows and Doors’ liability is limited to repair, replacement, or substitution of defective components at our sole discretion.
We are not liable for any incidental or consequential damages, including property damage or additional labor not specifically covered by this warranty.
Commercial Installations
For products installed in commercial, industrial, or rental properties, the warranty is limited to 10 years. After 10 years, only replacement parts are covered; labor and service charges apply.
Transferability
This warranty is fully transferable to subsequent property owners. Proof of original purchase (receipt or contract) is required.
Additional Provisions
This warranty provides specific legal rights which may vary by jurisdiction. This warranty is offered as a demonstration of our ongoing commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
